Working is great.
Working hard and getting that feeling of satisfaction at the end of each day is even better. If you get it...every day...
Here at Terradrive Piling, we do a lot of work. Normal for a new company!(just 3 year-old) But what about all the trendy notions of "healthy lifestyle", "work-life balance", "life"...?
For sure, work is fulfilling, but remember to relax, sometimes!
So, how do we unwind? How do YOU unwind?? Share your methods on this blog!
Here is my way...
I have been going to the gym for over a year; I love it. But it's hard to keep motivated! So, I set myself a challenge: in January, I put my name down for the 10km-run in Phoenix Park in Dublin, which happened on 6th, April. (The Great Ireland Run) 10KM! To give you an idea of the size of the challenge, I was barely able to run 15min... And to make it harder, I decided to go under an hour!... Well, running, at the beginning, is very, very hard... but after a while, you start getting the feeling that you can do it, you might even start enjoying it. And then, you don't think anymore.
A friend gave me a book, in which the author explains that the more you run, the less troubles you keep in mind! This is so true!
So my advice to you, if you are looking to unwind, start running! Benefits are great! You get fit, loose your stress, forget your negative thoughts, build up in confidence... and run that 10km in 58min!

My way of unwinding is trying new things, latley i have taken up Pilates, which at the start I was'nt sure of, but it is a great way of relaxing, and you really do feel the difference after a few sessions. Other than that, if i am getting really stressed about things, i write them down, and it does'nt seem as bad. My next challenge is to take up something else, a bit different, maybe salsa dancing...who knows...
